About
The Faculty of Disaster Risk Management provides training and development focused on disaster preparedness, risk reduction, emergency coordination and resilience planning. The faculty aims to strengthen the City’s ability to anticipate, mitigate and effectively respond to disasters and emergencies.
Vision
To equip disaster risk management practitioners and public safety personnel with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage disaster prevention, preparedness, response and recovery initiatives.
Mission
To provide quality education and training that promotes integrated disaster risk management, resilience building and coordinated emergency response in support of safe and sustainable communities.
